HUMAN DYNAMICS
Based on extensive research and field-testing involving over 40,000 people from more than 25 cultures, Human Dynamics is a powerful framework for understanding the distinct ways that different people process information, learn, communicate, relate, manifest stress, maintain well-being, and develop as human beings. At the heart of Human Dynamics are the three universal principles we all share in different capacities—mental, emotional, and physical—fundamental threads that cross culture, age, race, and gender to unify us all. As we learn to appreciate our commonalities and differences, we can apply our new understanding in order to elevate team learning, strengthen organizational performance, and communicate more effectively.

SYSTEM DYNAMICS
System dynamics, the foundation of systems thinking, demystifies the powerful forces at work in the systems all around us—from the workplace to human communities to the global ecology. In its simplest sense, system dynamics focuses on the flow of feedback (information that is transmitted and returned) that occurs throughout the parts of a system—and the system behaviors that result from those flows. For example, system dynamicists study reinforcing processes—feedback flows that generate exponential growth or collapse—and balancing processes—feedback flows that help a system maintain stability.

In addition, system dynamicists study the impact of delay on systemic behavior. Perhaps the most exciting thing about system dynamics is that it focuses on computer simulation modeling—using special software programs to figure out how a system's behavior might play out over time if you implement certain changes. These programs thus let you "test flight" your ideas—without crashing your business!

The titles in this series, authored by leading thinkers and practitioners, have long served as the core texts in this important field, and are now available from Pegasus Communications, Inc.
